ULLDECONA’S FEATHERED TREASURES

ULLDECONA’S FEATHERED TREASURES

Our “Ulldecona’s Feathered Treasures” visits are back! Did you know that we have a vast variety of birds in our town thanks to its wide range of habitats? Some species are migrants, which either live here or visit us. Would you like to find out more about them? Find out about their songs, how they behave… We’ll also learn how to identify them while enjoying nature. What could be better? With the Ulldecona native Josep Bel, an amateur biologist and ornithologist for more than 10 years who has been studying all the species of birds that we have in Ulldecona and Barris for over four years, we will try to see the species that come to spend the winter in our town.👏👏👏👏 We will visit a couple of areas to try and see as many different species as possible at 10:00 am on Sunday 5. Length of the visit: approx. 3 hours. Places are limited. Sign up at turisme@ulldecona.cat / 619 770 869 Price: €5/person (from 10 years old) N.B.: Comfortable footwear should be worn, and visitors are advised to bring binoculars. Starting from: Tourist Office car park in private cars.

IT’S RAINING MICHELIN STARS

IT’S RAINING MICHELIN STARS

This year’s Michelin Gala took place in the city of Valencia on 22 November, and the two restaurants with a Michelin star in Ulldecona and the surrounding districts received the distinction for another year.
Chef Jeroni Castell at the Les Moles Restaurant and his team received the award nine years ago, and this year they have been awarded the Michelin Green Star in recognition of their clear commitment to sustainability and great work in providing gourmet experiences that combine excellence with environmental responsibility.
Chef Vicent Guimerà at L’Antic Molí restaurant and his team were awarded the Green Star last year, and the distinction was confirmed this year. That makes six that are now part of the Michelin star universe.
This is a source of great pride for our town, as we are now the second municipality in Spain with less than seven thousand inhabitants to have two restaurants with a Michelin star. The first is Larrabetzu (Biscay).

We would also like to congratulate the restaurants in Ulldecona and Els Valentins on their excellent work. Their painstaking commitment to traditional cuisine, with excellent local and seasonal products but with an innovative touch, mean that we are all a benchmark in the region – gastronomically speaking, in this case.

Tuesdays to Saturdays: 9:30 am – 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

“Ne govorim crnogorski”, which means “I don’t speak Montenegrin” in Croatian, is a unique travel notebook presented in exhibition format at the César Martinell oil mill.
Everything it contains is the result of a nine-month journey in a van that I made with @angruneta, Cepa, Gordi and Riu between August 2022 and May 2023. Nothing you will see would make any sense in another context, regardless of all the physical, financial, temporal, climatic, linguistic, bodily and emotional conditions involved in a journey like this on.
