Montsià Path Ancient Olive Trees Area
This newly designated Ancient Olive Trees Area is one of the largest and best-preserved areas of ancient olive trees within the boundaries of Ulldecona, and one of the most outstanding examples of the more than 7,000 ancient olive trees in the Sénia region. This site is strategically located at the foot of the Serra del Montsià mountains, close to the routes of the old Via Heraclea / Augusta Roman road and the Montsià road, making it very accessible. Although it is divided between various owners, the area (about 90 trees) is a landscape of groves of traditional olive trees which, combined with the good condition of the immediate surrounding area, make it a tangible and intangible heritage asset of the first order. The visit is free of charge and suitable for all visitors. A car park for cars and motorcycles has been provided 300 m from the access to the properties.
